Spartans fall to Scots in MIAA-NACC crossover

The Aurora University Spartan football team took to the road and Alma College for a NACC-MIAA crossover on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans lost to Alma 38-14.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Alma jumped out to a 28-0 lead in the first-half.
AU took the opening second-half kick-off and marched down the field in 6 plays, going 70 yards for a touchdown. Geron Rogers hit Danny Logiurato on a 31-yard reception for the score. Earlier in the drive, Rogers connected with Sean Mullens on a 29-yard pass play.
On their third possession of the third quarter, the AU offense was set-up by the defense as Scott Robak intercepted a pass and returned it 29 yards to the Alma 33. Three plays later, Rogers hit Brandon Lucas on an 11-yard score. With the extra-point, AU trailed 35-14.
Alma added a field goal in the fourth quarter for the final score of 38-14.
