The Aurora University men's soccer team hosted the Regents of Rockford University in the 2016 regular season finale and in cold and wet conditions, the Spartans defeated the Regents 8-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
AU controlled the tempo throughout the first-half , out-shooting Rockford 18-2 in the period.
At 17:37 of the first-half, Spartan
Matt Napolitano tallied a goal off an assist from
Collin Foreman.
AU would lead 1-0 heading into halftime.
Coming out of the intermission the Spartans came out on the attack, scoring four times in the first 8:53. Goals coming from
Xavier Ortiz,
Ben Edith (2) and
Jordan Schure.
AU would add three more tallies from
Oscar Suarez,
Akeem Haye and
Alex Gordon for the 8-0 victory.
