A non-conference match-up was on tap for the Aurora University Spartan men's hockey team as they welcomed the Foresters of Lake Forest College to Fox Valley Ice Arena. AU fell behind early in the first period and would lose 5-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Spartans battled with the Foresters early in the game.
Lake Forest was able to tally a pair of goals late in the first period, one coming just after AU had successfully killed off a penalty.
Lake Forest added two early second period goals to lead 4-0
The Foresters add another goal later in the second period with 4:10 left.
Neither team tallied a goal in the third period as AU would fall in the first game of the season at Fox Valley 5-0.
