The Aurora University Spartan women's basketball team started off the NACC contest with Concordia Wisconsin on a slow note and the early deficit proved to be to tough to overcome as the Spartans lost 75-56.

RECORDS: Aurora University 1-7 overall and 0-3 NACC; Concordia University Wisconsin 6-1 overall and 4-0 NACC.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Concordia University Wisconsin came out strong, charging out to a 10-0 lead over the Spartans minutes into the game, forcing the Spartans to call a timeout with 6:06 on the clock.
At the end of the first quarter, the Spartans trailed 24-6. 
To start the second, AU started the quarter on a 13-4 run cut their deficit to just nine, with a score of 28-19. 
At halftime, the Spartans trailed 38-24 as CUW scored the final four points of the session.
The Spartans fought in the third quarter and kept the score within 12 for most of the period before CUW extended their lead to 62-44.
AU shot 72.7 percent from the field in the third quarter (8-of-11) with a perfect two-of-two from three-point range.
The final quarter of play was back-and-forth, but the Spartans would fall 75-56.
 
FOR THE SPARTANS
Adriana Ramirez had a team-high 23 points and eight rebounds.
Alyssa Brems scored 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field.
