The Aurora University women's track and field team will travel to Tarble Athletic and Recreation in Kenosha, Wisconsin on the campus of Carthage College on Saturday, February 27 at 10:00 am for the 2016 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Indoor Championships. The Spartans will compete to bring home the NACC crown for the fourth consecutive year.
The Match-up -Aurora University will take on a field of nine other NACC track and field teams from
Benedictine University, Concordia University Chicago, Concordia University Wisconsin, Edgewood College, Lakeland College, Marian University, Milwaukee School of Engineering, Rockford University and Wisconsin Lutheran College.

All-Time NACC Championships history –- AU has won four of the nine NACC women's track and field championships, which includes four of the last five years. 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
- Concordia Wisconsin and Concordia Chicago have won the NACC women's championship the rest of the five of nine years.
- Concordia Wisconsin has won three crowns, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
- Concordia Chicago has won twice, 2010 and 2012

About the Spartans –- AU is the three-time defending NACC indoor champions.
- 2015 NACC Athlete of the Meet and Field Athlete of the Meet Talia Sheedlo returns looking to repeat her success from one year ago.
- Â Sheedlo scored 37 points over five events in 2015.
- Individual Champion in the triple jump, long jump and 55 meter hurdles.
- 2015 NACC Track Athlete of the Meet and Freshman of the Year Deterrica Simpkins also looks to repeat past success.
- Simpkins accounted for 20 points plus 10 more as part of a relay team.
- In addition to Sheedlo and Simpkins, the Spartans return three indoor conference champions from the 2015 meet.
