The Aurora University Spartans returned to Wheaton College's Lee Pfund Stadium in Carol Stream, Illinois on Saturday evening and in a low scoring contest, the Spartans were victorious 3-2 over Wheaton.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS-
Ryan Rybakowski was two for four.

Nick Turner was one for five with one run scored and one run batted in.

HOW IT HAPPENED- AU threatened in the second inning with runners on second and third with two outs but did not push across a run.
- In the bottom of the fourth, Wheaton scored one run courtesy of a throwing error on a stolen base attempt.
- The Spartans answered back in the top of the fifth inning, with two outs. Mayes reached on a hit by pitch and Mathey followed with a single to left. Both freshmen came around to score on a single to right from
Nick Turner and Turner advanced all the way to third on the play. He scored later on a single to center from
Adam Lipscomb.
- Pitching and defense from both teams took over as the next three plus innings came and went.
- In the bottom of the ninth, AU pitcher
Jeff Woods put the first two Wheaton hitters on by hit by pitch and a walk. With one out and runners on second and third, the AU defense came up big. A sacrifice fly to right scored one run but the Spartans perfected a relay throw and following run down play for the final out with
Cale Sparks making the tag.
- AU won the game 3-2.
