The Aurora University women's lacrosse team hosted Illinois Wesleyan University in the first meeting between the two young programs. AU fell to the visiting Titans 12-8 on Vago Field on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENEDThe Titans scored the opening goal of the game just 34 seconds in.
AU scored the next two goals from
Andrea Colford and
Kenny Hughes to take a 2-1 lead.
After an IWU goal with 19:00 on the clock, the Spartans scored four straight goals to take a 6-2 lead with 9:05 to play.
Spartan goal scorers in the 4-0 run were
Rachel Cochran, two from Hughes and one from
Danielle Morgan.
Illinois Wesleyan scored the last four goals of the first-half to make the score 6-6 going into the halftime intermission.
The Spartans were first to score in the second half, 1:04 when Morgan scored her second of the game.
After Illinois Wesleyan scored twice,
Chloe Madison scored to knot the game at 8-8 with 24:23 to play.
The Titans controlled the remainder of the second-half, scoring the final four goals of the game and win 12-8.
