The Aurora University women's lacrosse team made quick work of the visiting Wartburg College Knights on Saturday afternoon on Vago Field. AU jumped out to a quick lead and ran away with a 15-4 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Kenny Hughes scored the first goal of the day just 12 seconds into the game to give the Spartans the early 1-0 lead.
Just under three minutes later Wartburg tied the game back at 1-1.
Andrea Colford gave the lead back to the Spartans 2-1 with Chloe Madison assisting on the goal.
This began a 7-0 AU run.
AU's Danielle Morgan followed the Colford goal as she cut through defenders and tossed a lazer to the back of the net to give the Spartans the two goal lead, 3-1.
Kaylyn Gilmer, Lauren Whitefield and, Andrea Colford scored four goals in a little over four minutes to give the Spartans the 7-1 lead with 10:58 remaining.
AU led at the half 8-2 with Hughes adding the last AU first-half tally.
The Spartans would outscore the Knights 6-2 in the second half and the running clock was enacted in the final 6:16 as AU was victorious 15-4 over Wartburg.
