The Aurora University men's lacrosse team got off to a slow start in a Midwest Lacrosse Conference match-up with Beloit College on Saturday afternoon on Vago Field. AU would explode in the third quarter to pull away with a comfortable 22-8 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Aurora scored the first goal quickly on a goal from
JK Torres that gave the Spartans the 1-0 just a minute in the game.
- Beloit countered the goal scoring seven second after Torres.
- AU countered with the man up goal from
Trevor McNamara assisted by
JK Torres.
- Beloit then even the score at 2-2.
- Spartan
Jason Koziol would score his first of the game to give the Spartans the 3-2 leading to head into the second quarter.
- Koziol (Smith) and Torres came out and scored the next two to give the Spartans the 5-2 lead.
- Beloit quickly responded to cut the lead to 5-3.
- After Koziol scored to give AU a 6-3 lead, Beloit scored twice to cut the AU advantage to 6-5.
- McNamara added two late goals in the half to give AU the 8-5 lead heading into halftime.
- Aurora came out of halftime on fire outscoring the Buccaneers 9-1 in the third quarter. Six different Spartans scored with McNamara scoring three times.
- Beloit would try to fight back in the game scoring the first goal of the fourth quarter but AU would not go quietly scoring the last four goals. Koziol scored twice with McNamara and
