The Aurora University women's lacrosse team traveled to Minnesota to take on a pair of MWLC opponents. AU was successful in game one with a 19-12 win at Augsburg.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Augsburg jumped out to an early 2-0 lead.
- The Spartans responded though with one goal each from Kenny Hughes and Andrea Colford
- Augsburg scored once more and with under 20 minutes remaining in the first-half, AU trailed 3-2.
- AU ran off a 4-0 score streak and took a lead they would never give up. Goals came from Lauren Whitfield, Colford (2) and Rachel Cochran.
- Over the next four minutes (10:10 to 6:40), Augsburg out-scored AU 3-1 and AU led by just one at 7-6.
- Colford and Danielle Morgan scored the final two tallies of the first-half and AU went into halftime leading 9-6.
- The Spartans once again came out strong on defense in the second-half and scored the first four goals and opened up a 13-6 lead.
- AU continued to maintain a comfortable lead and at 7:45 on the clock, AU led 16-8.
- Augsburg rattled off four of the next five goals and pulled within 17-12 with three minutes to play.
- AU's Hughes and Whitfield rounded out the night's scoring and AU won by a 19-12 score.

Chloe Madison had three goals and five assists.
Andrea Colford had seven goals.
Kenny Hughes had two goals and two assists.
Allee Samuel had eight saves.
