The Aurora University women's lacrosse team hosted the University of Dubuque in a battle of Spartans as AU reigned supreme as they defeated Dubuque 10-7.

HOW IT HAPPENEDAU started the scoring off with an unassisted goal from
Kenny Hughes 1:56 into the game.
Hughes would go on to score her second goal of the game just two minutes later, she was assisted by
Lauren WhitfieldThe Spartans would continue the scoring at 20:48 with a goal from
Andrea Colford.
At 11:50 in the first, AU opened a 4-0 lead with a goal from
Chloe Madison.
The Spartan lead grew to 5-0 at 5:46 as Hughes netted her third of the day
Dubuque would go on to score twice in the final 4:23 to make the score at half 5-2
AU would come out of the halftime intermission by scoring the first two goals.
Danielle Morgan (24:50) and
Andrea Colford (23:38) gave AU a 7-2 lead.
Dubuque would then score two goals, 17 seconds apart, cutting the Spartan lead to 7-4.

Andrea Colford pushed the Spartans back up by four (8-4) at 18:22 of the second-half.
Dubuque would score a minute later keeping the score close 8-5
Chloe Madison answered with her second goal of the with 12:17 left in the game
Colford essentially put the game out of reach when she scored her fourth of the game putting AU up 10-5 with 7:10 left in the game
Dubuque netted there sixth of the game at the 5:59 mark, cutting Aurora's lead to four (10-6).
Dubuque added a late tally before the final whistle to make the final 10-7 Spartans.
FOR THE SPARTANSAndrea Colford had four goals with six ground balls and four caused turnovers.
Chloe Madison had two goals, two assists with nine ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Kenny Hughes had three goals and two assists with three ground balls.
Taylor Arcivar had five ground balls and three caused turnovers.
