The Aurora University Men's Track and Field team scored 21 points to finish in a tie for 10th place at the 2016 NCAA Division IIIChampionships in Waverly, Iowa at Wartburg College. Over the three day Championships, AU saw tremendous efforts from the five representives.
Three Spartans scored points in four events as senior
Kalmon Stokes, junior
Austen Stewart and sophomore
Bobby Cooks all brought home NCAA Division III All-American honors in their respective events.
Stokes finished third in both events he was a competitor in, the 400 meter dash and the 400 meter hurdles. In scoring 12 points, Stokes finished in a tie for ninth among individual scorers at the NCAA Championships. He ran a 47.22 in the 400 meter and a 51.50 in the 400 meter hurdles, both times are AU and NACC records.
Stewart finished third in the high jump with an AU record height of 2.07 meters and Cooks finished sixth in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.45.

High Jump
AU had a pair of Spartans compete in the high jump with
Austen Stewart finishing third with an AU record jump of 2.07 meters (6'9.5") to earn All-American honors. Senior
Brian Rudelich finished tied for 13th with a jump of 1.97 meters (6'5.5").
110 meter hurdles
Bobby Cooks finished sixth with a time of 14.45 to score three points and earn All-American honors for a second time outdoors and fourth total with two indoor accolades.
400 meter dash
Kalmon Stokes finished third with an AU and NACC record time of 47.22 to score six points and earn All-American honors.
400 meter hurdles
Stokes finished third with an AU and NACC record time of 51.50 to score six points and earn All-American honors. The All-American recognition is the second in as many years for Stokes in the outdoor 400 hurdles.
200 meter dash
Terry Moore finished fifth in his heat and 16th overall with a time of 22.15.
