The Aurora University women's lacrosse team lost for the second consecutive season in the 2016 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Tournament Final, losing to the top seed Concordia University Wisconsin 16-6.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The teams battled to a scoreless opening 8:44 before CUW broke the tie with a goal.
- AU answered with a pair of goals from Rachel Cochran and Lauren Whitfield to take a 2-1 lead.
- CUW then scored three goals in four minutes to lead 4-2 with 12:23 to play.
- The Spartans showed poise and scored twice from Andrea Colford and Lauren Whitfield. With 8 minutes remaining in the first-half, the game was tied 4-4.
- CUW scored the final two goals of the half to lead AU 6-4 at halftime.
- AU's Lauren Whitfield scored the first goal of the second-half to pull AU within one at 6-5.
- Trailing 8-5, AU's Colford scored with 19:40 to play and AU was within two at 8-6.
- CUW would score the games final eight goals and defeat AU 16-6.
