Aurora University women's soccer host Carthage College in a non-conference contest on Wednesday afternoon on Vago Field. After an 1:40 lightning delay prior to kickoff, the Spartans fell to Carthage 1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Early in warm-ups a lightning delay that lasted 1:40 pushed the start time back to 3:30 pm.
The first half was a defensive battle with both teams held to few shots and no goals.
Carthage scored midway through the second half on a rebound from a header. The original shot came off of a corner kick.
AU had a few chances late in the half but could not find a way to add a goal.
