HOW IT HAPPENED
The Spartans scored the first basket on a three from
Matt Dunn and never looked back.
Leading 10-9,
Jordan LaGrone hit a three which started a 28 to 9 run that finished the first-half.
Going into halftime, AU led 38-18.
Early in the second, the Spartans weathered a Wisconsin Lutheran run that cut the AU lead down to eight at 51-43.
The Spartans answered, pushing the lead back up to 20 late in the game on another Dunn three.
All 16 dressed Spartans played in the game with nine players scoring including four in double figures.
FOR THE SPARTANS
Max Vickers had a game-high 16 points and seven rebounds.
Matt Dunn had 14 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Jordan LaGrone had 14 points off the AU bench.
Ty Carlson had 11 points and six rebounds.
