The Aurora University men's track team looked to build their early season momentum by heading to the NCAA-NAIA Challenge hosted by Olivet Nazarene University. The Spartan men had an array of strong performances amongst tough competition that included NCAA schools along with NAIA teams.

Yet another school record was broken by one of the Spartan men; this week it occurred in the 200 meter race by junior
Terry Moore, who won the meet with a time of 22.49. Moore also placed fourth in the 60 meter race with a time of 7.04. Junior
Bobby Cooks notched another victory by placing first in the 60 meter hurdles with a dominant mark of 8.00.
