Spartan men drop NACC road contest at MSOE

The Aurora University men's basketball team took to the road and fell at Milwaukee School of Engineering 77-71.

HOW IT HAPPENED  
Over the first nine minutes of the game, the teams traded leads numerous times.
A lay-up by Jovonn Griffin with 10:57 to play gave the Spartans a lead they would quickly grow.
With 4:20 left and following a three from Marcus Myers, AU led by 11, 35-24.
MSOE finished the first-half on a 17-6 run to send the game to halftime tied 41-41.
The start of the second-half saw MSOE open up on an 8-0 run over the first 1:42.
With 11:11 to go, Matt Dunn scored on a lay-up to cut the deficit to one (57-56) following a steal from Justin Galusha.
The Spartans took their first lead (68-66) in the second half on a three from Marcus Myers with 5:01 on the game clock.
AU had a cold night from three-point range in the game and it continued down the stretch as AU was out scored 11-3 in the final five minutes and lost 77-71.

FOR THE SPARTANS
Marcus Myers had 23 points and nine rebounds.
Ty Carlson had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Max Vickers had 11 points and nine rebounds.
