Spartans defeat Concordia Chicago to win first Veterans Cup

The Aurora University men's soccer team hosted Concordia University Chicago in some Wednesday night NACCtion as they won the Veterans Cup by a score of 5-1

HOW IT HAPPENED
-AU got the scoring started with a header from Andrew Grabowski that found the back of the net with an assist from Collin Foreman.
-AU added to their lead in the 28th minute where Jake Lysik scored on a cross from Xavier Ortiz .
-The Spartans added to their lead on a loose ball after a saved shot where Henry Zehnal was in the right place at the right time and booted the ball home.
-AU led Concordia University Chicago at the end of the first half 3-0.
-With 31:44 remaining in the game Xavier Ortiz took advantage of a penalty kick opportunity and extended AU's lead to 4-0.
-In the 79th minute AU capped their scoring off when Jordan Schure weaved through traffic and drilled the ball passed the diving goalkeeper.
-In the 85th minute Concordia Chicago scored on a free kick. AU led 5-1
-AU defeated Concordia University Chicago 5-1 to earn the Veterans Cup.
