The Aurora University women's volleyball program hosted the Jim Coleman Memorial Classic in Thornton Gymnasium on Friday night. AU was dominant on day one, winning 3-0 (25-12, 25-15, 25-8) over Concordia Chicago before taking down #15 University of Chicago 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-19).
In the win over Concordia Chicago, AU was led by
Katie Vondra who hit .619 with 14 kills while adding six digs. Junior setter
Emily Lines dished out 38 assists while freshman middle
Lindsey Simpson had 10 kills while freshman libero
Julia Wood had 13 digs.
In the night cap against the University of Chicago, AU was again in control of the match throughout. Lines had 41 assists,
Nikki Lofshult had 18 digs while Vondra had a double double with 16 kills and 13 digs and Simpson had nine kills. Freshman outside
Imani Freeman had 11 kills and hit .333.
The Spartans are now 23-6 overall on the season.

Saturday,
 October 28 when they host day two of the Jim Coleman Memorial Classic. AU takes on University of Dubuque at 12:00 p.m. and North Park University at 4:00 p.m. in Thornton Gymnasium.
