The Aurora University men's hockey team played returned to the home ice at Fox Valley Ice Arena on Friday night. A three minute flurry in the second period with three power play goals allowed was to much for the Spartans to overcome as they fell to Lawrence 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The teams played through a scoreless and penalty filled opening period.
- During the first intermission, the AU women's hockey program was introduced on the home ice for the first time.
- In the second period, AU started on the tail end of a power play and drew another Viking penalty but were unable to capitalize.
- Three Spartan penalties followed in a span of 2:33 and Lawrence took advantage, scoring three times.
- Both teams had scoring opportunities over the final period and a half of play but the score remained 3-0.
