The Aurora University women's hockey team controlled pace and played a tightly contested game with Northland College on Friday night at the Fox Valley Ice Arena. AU fell to the Jills by a 4-0 score.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A very evenly played opening period of play saw both teams put seven shots on net with Northland cracking the scoreboard first with 4:23 to play in the period.
- AU had numerous quality scoring chances in the second period but came up just shy of getting one past the Jill goalie.
- Late in the second following an AU scoring chance, Northland sprang free for a breakaway and goal to lead 2-0.
- Northland added two late goals in the third period including one empty netter for the final 4-0 score.
