- AU led 15-10 midway through the first-half.
- The Spartans were out scored 23-8 in the final 10 minutes and trailed 33-23 at the half.
- AU started the second-half on a 12-1 run and led 35-34 five minutes into the second session.
- The Spartans regained a late lead and led 65-63 with just under a minute to go.
- Up one in the final seconds, AU saw Edgewood score with two seconds to go and lost 66-65.
