The Aurora University Spartan women's basketball team returned to action in Thornton Gymnasium as they welcomed Wisconsin Lutheran College to AU. The Spartans gave the top team in the NACC all they could handle before falling late, 72-68.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spartan
Meija Rabi scored the first six points for AU and led 6-2 early in the first.
- AU trailed 17-10 with 2:40 to go but ran off six straight points to end the first quarter to trail 17-16.
- The Spartans led for almost all of the second quarter until the final minute. AU trailed 36-33 going into halftime.

Meija Rabi led all scorers in the first-half with 13 points
- The Spartans found themselves down by nine in the third but once again closed out the quarter strong. This quarter was a 5-0 run to trail 56-52.
- AU continued their run into the fourth and when a 13-0 was done, the Spartans led 60-56 with 6:19 to go.
- A
Bri Hall basket with just under four minutes to play gave AU a 62-60 lead.
- WLC ran off an 8-0 run and led 68-62 with just under two minutes on the clock.
- AU battled until the final horn but would get no closer than two on an
Allie Reichert basket with six seconds left in the game.
- The Spartans would fall 72-68.
