With the holiday season quickly approaching, the Aurora University women's hockey program will host a Toys for Tots "Teddy Bear Toss" event. 

The AU women will hold their teddy bear toss game on Saturday, December 9 when the Spartans welcome Chatham University to the Fox Valley Ice Arena for a 3:00 p.m. puck drop.

Fans are encouraged to bring their own teddy bears to the game and throw them on the ice after AU scores the first goal. All bears/stuffed animals will be donated and given to children in need this Christmas season. 

A "teddy bear toss" is popular in hockey this time of year to provide stuffed animals to children that come from less fortunate backgrounds. The Spartan men hosted their Teddy Bear Toss event on Saturday, December 2 and collected 109 bears that will be donated to Toys for Tots.
