The Aurora University men's track team sharpened up for the upcoming Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference meet by competing in the 2017 Margaret Bradley Invitational hosted by the University of Chicago. The Spartan men had a strong day by placing 2
nd out of 10 teams.

The Spartan men had a bevy of first place finishers including junior
Terry Moore who won the 400 meter race with a time of 51.17s and also placed 8
th in the 60 meter race with a time of 7.72s. Senior jumper
Austen Stewart took first in the high jump with a robust mark of 1.94m.

Ultimately it was the throwers who stole the show with junior
Brandon Pichen placing first in the weight throw with a dominant mark of 17.31m and junior
Ryan Njegovan smashing his own conference record and placing first in the shot put with a mark of 18.12m. Ryan's performance is even more impressive since it propelled him back into the top mark in the entire nation for Division III.Â
