Women's bowling wraps up regular season

The Aurora University women's bowling team concluded their season at the Valparaiso University Crusader Classic. The Spartans posted a 1-10 overall record for the weekend.
 
On Friday, February 17, the schedule consisted of Baker matches with the Spartans having a 1-3 record. AU opened play with a 763-832 loss to Lincoln Memorial University and followed the match with a win over Maryville University (922-881). AU lost the final two matches of the day to Arkansas State University (852-1132) and Valparaiso University (730-865). The Spartans high baker game of the day was a 231 against Maryville University.
 
Saturday brought traditional contests with the Spartans going 0-5. AU fell short against Elmhurst College (727-1065), University of Nebraska (790-1039), University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (701-1009), Youngstown State University (770-856) and University of Central Missouri (764-999). Emma Devalis held the high game for the Spartans at a 203.
 
A single traditional contest and a best-of-seven Baker series in a bracketed final was on the schedule for Sunday, February 19. AU opened with a loss to Tulane University (812-930) for the last traditional match. In the next match which was baker, the Spartans were edge out by Valparaiso University (834-880). The Spartans and Crusaders finished the series at 1-4 to knock off the Spartans. AU would finish in 11th place and a 1-10 weekend record.
 
The Spartan women's bowling finished the tournament with a 1-10 record and an overall season record of 13-46.
