The Aurora University women's lacrosse team played the second of a weekend series in Minnesota on Sunday afternoon, taking on Hamline University. A late second half rally fell short as the Spartans lost 10-7.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Spartans fell behind 3-0 just over six minutes into the game.
AU answered with three straight goals with tallies coming from
Kenny Hughes (two) and
Lauren Whitfield.
The teams traded goals to finish the first half with the first AU goal coming from
Andrea Colford and an assist from Hughes.
With the final seconds ticking away in the first-half, Colford scored with four seconds left on an assist from
Kailey Kamberis.
At halftime, AU and Hamline were tied 5-5.
Over the first 20 minutes of the second-half, AU saw Hamline score three times making the score 8-5.
Kenny Hughes and then
Lauren Whitfield both scored down the stretch to cut into the deficit but were unable to get within two goals and fell 10-7.
