The Aurora University men's lacrosse team easily handled the visiting Griffins of Fontbonne University (30-1) and Scots of Monmouth College (23-1) in a pair of Midwest Lacrosse Conference contests on Saturday.

AU scored six first quarter goals.
Leading 11-0, Fontbonne broke the AU shutout late in the second quarter before the Spartans added another goal to lead 12-1 at halftime.
The Spartan bench came on to play the second half, scoring eight third quarter goals and added 10 more in the fourth with numerous first collegiate tallies.

Spartans held possession early but did not score until 7:01 left in the first quarter on a JK Torres tally and assist from Ben Arends.
A pair of Jason Koziol goals and one from Bailey Smith gave the Spartans a 4-0 lead after the first.
AU scored 11 second quarter goals to lead 15-0 at halftime.
Monmouth got on the scoreboard in the third quarter.
AU answered with three goals in the third and five in the fourth for a 23-1 victory.
