With the home AU baseball and softball contests mixed with several large tournaments being run by the Fox Valley Park District (FVPD) at the Stuart Sports Complex on Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23, parking will be at a premium. The FVPD has made arrangements for a local shuttle with further information provided below.
Due to the large anticipated attendance at the Stuart Sports Complex on the weekend of 4/22/17–4/23/17, the following accommodations have been put in place to ensure ample parking for all parties involved. There will be a shuttle service offered from the Caterpillar parking lot to the Stuart Sports Complex during the hours of 7:30am–6:00pm Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, April 22, AU baseball and softball both host Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference doubleheaders against Lakeland University and Marian University starting at 12:00 p.m.
On Sunday, April 23, AU softball hosts Marian University in a NACC doubleheader with senior day events taking place in between games one and two.
Below are directions to the Caterpillar parking lot. There will also be roadside signage routing guests to that location.
From Stuart South entrance (baseball)
- From Stuart Sports Complex at the Rt. 30 and Griffin Dr. Entrance/Exit turn Left on US-30
- Turn Right onto Orchard Rd.
- Turn Left onto Caterpillar Dr.
- Follow signage on roadside directing to designated parking lots
From Stuart north entrance (softball)
- From Stuart Sports Complex at the Jericho Rd. Entrance/Exit turn Right on Jericho
- Turn Right onto Orchard Rd.
- Turn Left onto Caterpillar Dr.
- Follow signage on roadside directing to designated parking lots
The shuttle will run approximately every 15 minutes for users to get to their designated destination and will have drop-off/pick-up points at both the North and South ends of the Stuart Sports Complex.
Any Collegiate softball or Ultimate Frisbee teams traveling on school/coach buses and RV's will be directed to unload passengers at the North end of the complex in the loop surrounding the ball diamonds. After unloading all school/coach buses and RV's must park outside the complex. Arrangements have been made for these vehicles to park at Walmart near the auto shop portion of their building (2000 Orchard Rd. Montgomery, IL 60538). Drivers must stay with the vehicle during this time.
Any Collegiate baseball teams traveling on school/coach buses and RV's will be directed to unload at the South end of the complex in the baseball parking lot. After unloading all school/coach buses and RV's must park outside the complex. Drivers must stay with the vehicle during this time.
