The Aurora University women's lacrosse team hosted Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference rival Concordia University Wisconsin on a wet Wednesday afternoon on Vago Field. The low scoring affair was exciting down to the final seconds as AU fell to the Falcons 5-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Just before game time rain, very heavy at times, with windy conditions arrived at Vago Field.
AU fell behind 3-0 with the game remaining that score until past midway through the first-half.
The Spartans and Andrea Colford got the AU scoring started on a free position goal at 7:15.
After a CUW goal, Morgan Shackelton assisted Kenny Hughes on a goal just before halftime.
The teams went into halftime with AU trailing CUW 4-2.
Neither team tallied a goal in the early portion of the second-half until a second free position goal from Andrea Colford pulled AU to down just one at 4-3 with 17:14 on the clock.
10 minutes later CUW pushed the lead to 5-3 on the last of five free position goals in the game between both teams.
With 2:56 to play, Kendall Urban drove the net and scored cutting the deficit to one again at 5-4.
The pace was frenzied in the final two minutes with AU just missing on a free position shot with just over one minute to play.
When the final horn sounded, AU fell to CUW 5-4.
