Njegovan claims second All-American award on Day Two of NCAA Track Championship

For the second time in as many days, Aurora University Men's Track and Field were led by junior Ryan Njegovan at the 2017 NCAA Division III Championship in Geneva, Ohio. One day after winning the discus national championship, Njegovan earned All-American honors in the shot put.

Shot Put
Ryan Nejegovan finished fifth with a throw of 16.58 meters / 54'4.75" to earn All-American honors, his second of the outdoor championship and third in 2017.

Bobby Cooks stumbled at the first hurdle in his heat and would not finish the race.

Through two days, the AU men are in a tie for fourth place with 14 team points.

Next action for the Spartan men at the 2017 NCAA Division III Championship comes on Saturday, May 27, 2017. Brandon Pichen competes in the hammer throw starting at 1:30 p.m. (est) trying to earn his second All-American honor of 2017.
