The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has recognized the Aurora University women's lacrosse team as one of 140 schools earning IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Squad honors for the 2017 season. Schools with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher earned Academic Squad honors.
AU also had five Spartans selected to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. All student-athletes were nominated by their schools, have achieved at least junior status academically and have a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

AU finished the 2017 season with 11 Spartans being named to the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) All-Academic Team which required each student-athlete to maintain a 3.30 cumulative grade point average for the 2016-2017 academic year. On the field, AU had a 9-9 overall record and were 8-3 in the MWLC.
