The Aurora University Spartans traveled to Olivet College for the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) vs. Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) challenge in Olivet, Michigan. The Spartans fell behind early and that deficit proved to be a little to much to overcome as they fell, 37-21.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU took the opening kickoff and started driving but on the fifth play of that first drive, Olivet forced an AU turnover which was returned for a touchdown.
- The Spartans responded very well as the offense went to work on a 10-play, 67 yard drive that stalled inside the Olivet 10 yard line. AU did not get points out of the drive as a 25 yard field goal missed wide right.
- At the end of the first quarter, AU trailed 14-0.
- Trailing 23-0 late in the second quarter, AU and the offense got the momentum rolling. The Spartans went 75 yards in 10 plays led by 61 yards on the ground before Geron Rogers found Chris Villafuerte on a 13-yard scoring strike.
- At halftime, AU trailed 23-7.
- On the Spartans first possession of the second-half, AU kept the momentum going from the late first-half drive. 13-plays and 74 yards over almost seven minutes was capped off by a Connor Olson two yard touchdown plunge and AU now down 23-14.
- 23-14 would be the score at the end of the third quarter.
- The Spartan defense forced a punt early in the fourth and allowed the now hot AU offense to get back to work. A 30-yard scoring strike from Rogers to Sean Mullen pulled AU to within two at 23-21.
- On the ensuing kickoff, Olivet got a 99-yard return for a touchdown to push the score to 30-21.
- A Spartan turnover set up an Olivet score late in the fourth for the eventual 37-21 final score.
 
FOR THE SPARTANS                                                     
- AU rushed for 177 yards on 35 carries in the game.
- Connor Olson had 13 rushes for 53 yards and one touchdown.
- Geron Rogers was 19-of-31 passing for 157 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
- Chris Villafuerte had four catches for 34 yards and one touchdown.
- Brendan Fulton had nine tackles including two for loss.
