The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference schedule opened for the Aurora University men's soccer program as the Spartans traveled to Edgewood College on a abnormally hot Saturday morning. AU and Edgewood battled with the contest going into overtime.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU fell behind early, in the fifth minute after Phil Lewy made a save but was unable to hang on to the rebound.
- Seven minutes later the Spartans knotted the game up when
Jordan Schure powered a shot through the Eagle defense.
- In the 35th minute,
Collin Foreman converted a penalty kick and AU led 2-1.
- Just before halftime, Edgewood tied the game on a similar goal to the first.
- Going to halftime, the score remained 2-2.
- Midway through the second-half, AU and Nicholas Rohr put the Spartans up 3-2.
Xavier Ortiz led Rohr for the breakaway.
- Edgewood tied the game in the 82nd minute.
- The game went into overtime and shortly after a Spartan was given a red card, Edgewood scored to win the game 4-3.
