Pair of McKernan goals not enough for Spartan women

The Aurora University women's hockey team took on one of the top teams in the NCHA on Friday evening in Duluth, Minnesota. AU got a pair of goals from Nicole McKernan but would fall to St. Scholastica 8-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU saw the home team score three times to open the game including two power play tallies.
- The Spartans got on the board with 2:16 to go in the first period with Nicole McKernan scoring off an assist from Marissa Dunbar.
- AU trailed 4-1 after one period.
- The Spartans would score on a power play midway through the second. McKernan found the net again with assists to Emma Martel and Hannah Gwillim.
- The Spartans trailed 7-2 after two periods.
- CSS added the only third period goal for the 8-2 final score.
