A late run in the second-half was key to lifting the Aurora University Spartan men's basketball team to a double-digit win over Concordia University Chicago on Wednesday night, 78-66.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Just short of midway through the first-half, a pair of three's from
Ty Carlson fueled a 6-0 AU run to give the Spartans a 15-7 lead.
- After CUC worked their way back into the game, the Spartans answered and built a 10 point lead with 8:02 to go, 24-14.
- AU went scoreless the final 3:32 of the first-half and a 7-0 CUC run led to a 33-31 Spartan halftime lead.
- The teams went back and forth in the second-half and with exactly 9 minutes to play, the game was tied, 54-54.
- Spartan
Pat Kramp hit a three on the following AU possession and AU offense woke up.
- A 10-0 Spartan run capped by a
Max Vickers three gave AU their largest lead thus far with 4:15 to play at 69-56.
- Just a few minutes later, AU got back-to-back-to-back layups from Vickers,
Matt Dunn and
Marcus Myers gave the Spartans the games largest lead of 18 at 78-60 with 1:38 to play.
- AU went on to win by a 78-66 score.
