The Aurora University Spartan men's basketball team needed to play come from behind after trailing at halftime at Rockford University and the Spartans did just that in defeating the Regents 89-80.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU never led in the first-half, trailed by as many as 11 before heading to halftime down by seven at 40-33.
- The Spartans opened the second-half on a 10-0 run and took a three point lead at 43-40.
- The game and lead then traded hands numerous times and with 11:37 to play, the game was tied at 54.
- A three from Ty Carlson broke the tie and gave AU the last lead change of the game.
- AU used an 8-0 run over 2:30 late in the game to expand the lead to 11, AU's largest of the game at 77-66.
- The Spartans would not allow Rockford to get any closer than within six in the final four minutes and claimed victory, 89-80.
 
FOR THE SPARTANS
- Marcus Myers had a team-high with 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
- Max Vickers had a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds.
- Ty Carlson had 21 points and nine rebounds.
- Matt Dunn had 18 points and seven assists.
