- The two teams remained scoreless until a Spartan penalty in the box led a Dominican penalty kick opportunity.
- When AU trailed Dominican 1-0 in the 62^nd minute.
- With 5:30 remaining in the match an apparent hand ball on the Stars in the box was not called allowing Dominican to clear the ball out, thwarting an AU scoring chance.
- AU fell to Dominican University 1-0.
