AU women run third at NACC Championship

The Aurora University women's cross country finished third at the 2018 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championship on Saturday afternoon at Oakhurst Forest Preserve.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Aurora University finished third out of 11 teams, one point behind the second place finishers and five behind the meet winner..
- Three Spartans earned All-Conference honors as they finished in the top 15 of the NACC competitors which totaled 111 from 11 schools.

The top 7 women's times and places were as follows:
- Jackie Schane (3rd - 22:47.53) - NACC All-Conference
- Jazzmine Reyes (4th - 23:06.45) - NACC All-Conference
- Sandy Barrientos (9th - 23:53.51) - NACC All-Conference
- Izenet Renteria (21st - 25:06.46)
- Eyo Toe (22nd - 25:11.46)
- Emily Samp (39th - 26:23.99)
- Ari Coss (47th - 26:49.52)

UP NEXT:
Next action for the Spartan cross country team comes on Thursday, November 1 when they compete in the North Central College Red-White Invite. Meet time is set for 4:00 p.m. at St. James Farm Forest Preserve in Warrenville, Illinois.
