The Aurora University men's hockey team earned their first victory of the season with a 5-2 win against University of Wisconsin-Stout.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans grabbed a 1-0 lead at 10:14 of the first period
Anthony Tzveyn scored his first collegiate goal with assists from
Jacob Holmers and
Shawn O'Malley.
- AU took a 1-0 lead to intermission.
- 24 seconds into the second period, AU pushed the lead to 2-0.
Jason Recchia scored with assists from
Larry Jungwirth and
Roberts Baranovskis.
- A minute and a half later the Spartans grew the lead to 3-0.
Chris Nowacki scored his team leading second of the season with assists from
Tim Faulkner and
Liam Stirtzinger.
- Stout added a power play goal midway through the second and the Spartans took a 3-1 lead going to the second intermission.
- Midway through the third period, Stout scored and AU led by one at 3-2.
- Late in the third at 15:24, AU struck on the power play. Faulkner scored with helpers from
Brayden Sampson and Baranovskis.
- With 19 seconds left, AU added an empty net tally that sealed with win.
Dylan Rauh tallied his first as a Spartan and he was assisted by
Wyatt Mathews and Holmers.
- AU won for the first time in 2018-2019 5-2 over Stout.
