- It was a back and forth battle until
Jorge Patino got the scoring started in the 27
th as he knifed through the defense and sent the ball pass the keeper.
- The Spartans took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
- In the 65
th minute an AU hand ball in the box led to a successful Marian penalty kick to tie the score at 1-1.
- AU responded promptly with a goal of their own. Jake Lysik maneuvered his way through the defense where he delivered the ball to
Jack Schramme for the go ahead goal. AU led Marian 2-1 in the 68
th minute.
- The Spartans held on to preserve the victory and defeated Marian University by a score of 2-1.
