The Aurora University women's hockey team played to a 2-2 overtime tie, the third consecutive tie, at Northland College on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans trailed early as Northland scored 2:51 into the contest.
- AU trailed 1-0 going to the first intermission.
- 1:35 into the second AU tied the game when
Olivia Monzel scored on assists from
Anna Zak and
Brenna Hannon.
- With two periods played, AU and Northland were tied 1-1.
- AU grabbed their first lead of the game 6:04 into the third period.
Nicole McKernan lit the lamp with an assist from
Hannah Gwillim.
- The scored remained 2-1 Spartans until late in the third.
- Shortly after Northland pulled the goalie for an extra attacker, AU was caught for a penalty giving Northland a 6v4 for the final 49 seconds.
- With 31 seconds to play, Northland tied the game on the power play and with the extra skater.
- Headed to overtime for the third straight contest, AU would come away with a third straight tie as the game remained 2-2.
