The Aurora University Spartan women's basketball team opened the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference schedule with a tight loss at Wisconsin Lutheran College, 70-57. AU was out-scored in the third quarter which proved to be the difference in the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The teams traded leads early in the first quarter before the Spartans trailed 13-9 after 10 minutes.
- AU opened the second quarter on an 8-0 run and led by four at 17-13.
- The Spartans would trail 34-30 going to halftime with
Julie Galauner hitting a three for the last basket of the first-half.
- AU came out in the third quarter and took a 35-34 lead but WLC jumped ahead of the Spartans and AU trailed 56-43 after three quarters.
- Early in the fourth, AU got within eight (58-50) after a Galauner three but that was as close as the Spartans would get.
- AU lost 70-57.
