The Aurora University women's hockey team used a four goal second period against Chatham University on Sunday afternoon to pull away and win game two of the series 5-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU fell behind Chatham 2-0 in the first period as the home team scored a power play and short handed goal.
- After killing off a pair of penalties early in the second, AU went to a power play of their own.
- Just over a minute into the extra skater,
Marissa Dunbar won the face off to
Hannah Gwillim who made a pass to
Olivia Monzel. Monzel put the puck in the back of the Chatham net and the Spartans trailed by one at 2-1.
- Just over a minute later the Spartans went back to the power play. This time
Nicole McKernan tallied the equalizer on an assist from
Macey Horbach.
- Three minutes later, AU took the lead for the first time.
Brenna Hannon scored on a
Emma Martel assist.
- In the final minute of the period, the Spartans struck again.
Lexie Martinez scored the fourth AU goal of the period with assists to
Gabrielle Purpura and
Anna Zak.
- AU took a 4-2 lead to the second intermission.
- With 2:40 left in the game, Chatham pulled the goalie for an extra skater and was able to pull within one at 4-3 with 2:19 on the clock.
- Chatham pulled the goalie again with 1:25 left and just five seconds later, the Spartans put the game to bed with an empty net tally.

Olivia Matson tallied the empty netter with an assist from
Marissa Dunbar.
- AU would win 5-3.
