HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU opened up a quick 8-3 lead and forced a WLC timeout 1:31 into the game.
- After WLC tied the game at 10-10, the Spartans ran off a 7-0 run that became a 13-7 run to lead 23-17 with 11:58 left in the first-half.
- Over the next five minutes, the Spartans went cold from the field while turning the ball over. In the stretch, WLC went on a 28-5 run and AU trailed 45-28.
- The Spartans trailed 54-35 at halftime.
- The Spartans battled to chip away at the deficit and with 11:12 left in the second, a lay-up from
Matt Dunn cut the lead to nine at 66-57.
- AU would go on to fall to the Warriors 96-82.
