HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU struck first with 44 seconds left in the first period on the power play.
Anthony Tzveyn got the goal with assists from
Riley Doyon and
Jacob Holmers.
- Lawrence tied the game with five seconds left in the period to send the teams to intermission tied 1-1.
- Early into the second the Spartans regained the lead with a goal from Holmers and assists to Tzveyn and
Shawn O'Malley.
- The teams would go to the second intermission with the Spartans leading 2-1.
- 25 seconds into the third, the home team tied the game.
- At 13:48 of the third, Spartan
Riley Doyon scored the game winning goal as he was assisted by
Dylan Rauh and
Connor Chilton.
- Holmers added an empty net goal with 24 seconds left in the game to seal the win.
Brayden Sampson picked up the helper.
- AU won by a score of 4-2.
