For the fourth straight contest, the Aurora University Spartan women's basketball team used a huge first-half to take control of the game and run away to victory. This time, AU defeated Alverno College 73-55 to claim the fourth straight win as the Spartans head home to spend time with family over Christmas and New Year holiday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans used back to back threes from
Julie Galauner to start a 12-0 run to vault AU to a 14-2 lead with 6:10 to go in the opening quarter.
- AU went on to lead 27-14 after one quarter.
- The second quarter saw AU turn up the defense on Alverno and lead by 21 following another Galauner three heading to halftime, 44-23.
- Midway through the third, the Spartans went on a 13-2 run behind eight points from
Adriana Ramirez to pull away from the Inferno.
- AU led by 25, 63-38 after three quarters.
- The Spartans maintained the lead with ease over Alverno throughout the fourth quarter and won easily, 73-55.
