The Aurora University Spartan women's basketball team fell behind in the first-half, used a furious second-half rally to get back in the game but came up just short as AU fell in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament to Benedictine 71-64.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A 8-1 run by BU put the Spartans behind in the first and after one quarter, AU trailed 15-10.
- In the middle of the second quarter, a three from
Bri Hall pulled AU to down four at 20-16.
- BU ended the half on a 20-6 run and AU trailed 40-22 going into halftime.
- With 5:55 to go in the third, AU trailed by the largest deficit of 23 (49-26).
- AU was not going home quietly though. An 8-1 run to end the third had the Spartans down 58-45.
- The run continued into the fourth and with 3:55 to go in the game, AU was within five at 63-58.
- Five points was as close as AU would get though as a key possession with under a minute to go saw AU come up shy despite a pair of offensive rebounds to keep the possession alive.
- The Spartans would fall 71-64.
