Spartans net Panthers 3-1

The Aurora University men's volleyball team returned to the home court in Thornton Gymnasium on Wednesday night as they host Greenville University. The Spartans were victorious in four sets, 3-1.

FINAL SCORES: Aurora University 3, Greenville University 1 (25-23, 25-14, 24-26, 25-15)

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the opening set, AU found themselves trailing 4-1 before having a serve.
- With the set tied 10-10, a Jack Fischer ace gave AU an 11-10 lead.
- Later in the set, a Tyler Turner ace tied the game 18-18 and when he was finished with his service, AU led 20-19 and would go on to win 25-23.
- The Spartans never trailed in the second set, winning easily 25-14.
- In the third set, the Spartans trailed almost the entire set and were behind 22-16 with Daniel Pytel gaining service.
- Pytel started with back to back aces and when he was done, AU was back in the set at 23-22.
- The Spartans were unable to ever grab the lead late and fell 26-24.
- The fourth set saw AU return to their second set form and coasted to a 25-15 win.
