Day two of the 2018 spring trip to central Florida and the Osceola Sports Complex in Kissimmee saw the Aurora University softball team split a doubleheader as the Spartans defeated Muhlenberg College 6-2 before falling to Alfred University 5-3.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONE vs. Muhlenberg College
- AU scored twice in the first and added three more runs in the second to lead 5-0. In each inning the Spartans took advantage of a Muhlenberg error to help get the scoring started.
- The Spartans pushed across another run in the fourth before Muhlenberg scored two in the bottom of the inning.

Steph Renner allowed just one base runner over the final three innings to seal her first win as a Spartan.

Steph Renner threw the complete game in her first college start, scattering five hits, two runs and struck out four.
SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME TWO vs. Alfred University
- The Spartans trailed 4-0 before getting the first hit in the fifth inning.
- In the sixth, AU clubbed four hits to score three runs and pull within one at 4-3.Â
- After Alfred added a run in the top of the seventh, AU had two runners on with one out but back to back fly outs ended the Spartan rally.
